Double Gold for Kallio Once More!

On the last weekend of May, Pasila sportshall echoed with the blares of whistles and the knocking of skates when the finals and semifinals of the Finnish National Series and semifinals of the 1st Division took place in Helsinki.
In the first game of the tournament, Kallio’s A team, All Colours, met Tampere All Stars. The tight game ended with Kallio taking the win at 155-135 points and thus, All Colours ensured their place in Sunday’s gold game.

In the second national semifinal game of the day Oulu Roller Derby A Shitty City Rollers took the win from Helsinki Roller Derby Bees by 211-66 points and thus also ensured their place in the gold game.
The day came to an end with the 1st Division bronze game, where Oulu’s Shitty village B-pol met Tampere’s Howlin’ Rolls and earned themselves the bronze medal by 220-106 points.
The 1st Division gold game opened the second day of the tournament, with Kallio’s own Kinapori Fistfunkers meeting Riverdale Rollers on track. The two teams have competed for the division gold before in spring 2024 in Porvoo, when Kallio managed to earn their first division gold. Now the meeting between old friends ended with Kallio taking home the gold again by 131-67 points!

The exciting day continued with the national bronze game, where Tampere’s All Stars competed against Helsinki’s Bees and took home the win by 191-151 points.
The tournament culminated in a thriller match between Kallio’s All Colours and Oulu’s Shitty City Rollers that surely offered the audience an unforgettable rollercoaster of emotions with exciting lead changes throughout. In the end, the tight fight ended with Kallio winning by only a 5-point difference at 107-102 points!

Kallio wants to say a huge thank you to all teams, officials, volunteers and audiences for the past season. See you again on track in the autumn!
Kinis is now sanctioned! 🥳
Kinapori Fistfunkers is now a WFTDA sanctioned team! They will play their first sanctioned game ever on 1st February 2026 against Dust City Rollers in Graz, Austria. As a sanctioned team, Kinis competes in the WFTDA European rankings.

Kinapori Fistfunkers in Oulu
Kinapori Fistfunkers played their second game of the season earlier this month in Oulu. The game was a nailbiter all the way through with Oulu B managing to keep up the lead and taking the win with 125 points to Kallio B’s 118. This marks Kinis’ first loss in the Division 1 this season.
Kallio’s officials were also there to represent for the whole tournament weekend!


Kallio teams kicked off their respective seasons
All Colours and Kinapori Fistfunkers have kicked off their season 2025-2026 with both teams managing to pocket two wins!
In an early October tournament in Helsinki Allit met Helsinki Roller Derby Bees on track. The game ended at 161-22 with the win going to Kallio. The tournament offered an abundance of derby to be enjoyed by Kinis as they got to play two games. In the first game Kinis played against Tampere Roller Derby Howlin’ Rolls and got their first win by 218-114. In the last game of the day, we saw another capital city match-up when Kinis played Helsinki Roller Derby C-kasetti and won by 344-51.
October was a great month for derby as later this month All Colours got to travel all the way to Rovaniemi to play against Tampere Roller Derby All Stars. The win went to Kallio by 229-42.
